FAQs
-
How is the Echo different?
We are a publication focused on growing a co-op of Creatives who own 50% of the publication and by having equal means of production of the business will hopefully also work to help it continue to grow.
-
How often are writers paid?
Every quarter the Creative Co-op will get together in a hybrid format and the goal is to always have everyone paid for the previous quarter of their royalty splits during the first month of that current quarter. For reference, the quarters are as follows: Jan-Mar is Q1, Apr-Jun is Q2, Jul-Sep is Q3, and Oct-Dec is Q4.

If I have a question, who should I speak to?
The best way to get a question answered is to email the Core Staff team via the email relay hello@evergreenecho.org.
-
Can I write about something other than the arts?
We believe the arts are foundational and integrated into everything we experience in life, so of course you can always pitch anything to Editorial for consideration, but we like to hold onto our arts lens and perspective.

How am I paid every month?
You will fill out an ACH Direct Deposit Authorization form in your onboarding process and will allow for money to be deposited directly to your bank account. If you make more than $600 in the fiscal year then you will also receive a 1099 to pay taxes on that income as an independent contractor.

Can I refer a friend to be a creative?
Yes! Anyone can submit their work via the website at anytime and put forward their referral of a current writer for consideration by the team.
